I have always been passionate about health care and empowering individuals, to make positive lifestyle changes. I believe strongly in the mind-body connection, and apply a holistic approach when assisting patients, to achieve their own, individualized health goals.<\/span><\/h6>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
I am strongly dedicated to effectively treating my patients and providing them with relevant naturopathic resources and any desired knowledge about their conditions. I work hard to determine the underlying, root cause of a patient\u2019s health concern and hope to inspire them to take a more proactive approach, in order to maintain optimal health and prevent further issues.<\/span><\/h6>\n
At Insight my goal is to provide empathy, to educate\/inform patients about effective coping techniques, and to motivate positive changes in behaviour and mindset. I have worked with many individuals, suffering with poor digestive\/GUT health, hormone imbalances and endocrine issues such as diabetes and thyroid dysfunction.<\/span><\/h6>\n
M<\/span>y area of focus is working with individuals struggling with mental health issues.<\/span>\u00a0I provide naturopathic support and holistic counselling for many different mental health conditions and\/or common psychological struggles, including low self-worth, perfectionism, grief, loss, guilt, shame, anger, emotional dysregulation, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and relationship issues.<\/span><\/h6>\n
I have received speciality training in holistic counselling, mindfulness and advanced skill training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for anxiety disorders. I work hard to provide each patient with a treatment plan that incorporates self-care and may involve learning new skills to improve coping and management of difficult or unpleasant thoughts, emotions or current situations.<\/span><\/h6>\n
I obtained my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2013 and have been in private practice since.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>I am a member of both the Canadian and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND and OAND) and am registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).<\/h6>\n
I have recently received my Master\u2019s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and am currently awaiting registration, with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).<\/span><\/h6>\n
