Dr. Nadine Kexel, Naturopathic Doctor

Before earning my Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), I completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology at McMaster University. During this time, I developed a deep appreciation for how exercise, nutrition, and mindfulness can transform physical well-being and reduce disease risk. Having been active in soccer and other sports throughout my life, I was inspired to promote physical activity in the community. This passion led me to volunteer at a gym supporting individuals with neurological impairments and contribute to research focused on enhancing physical activity among people with disabilities.
While at CCNM, my enthusiasm for holistic health grew, and I sought opportunities to deepen my understanding. I attended conferences, worked part-time in the supplement industry, and explored the powerful role naturopathic medicine can play in cancer care. A transformative experience was shadowing a naturopathic doctor specializing in oncology and witnessing the profound impact of integrative cancer support. This inspired me to pursue a similar path for my future practice.

After graduating from CCNM, I was honored to be accepted into the competitive Integrative Cancer Centre (ICC) residency program. Over two years, I gained extensive experience in supporting patients with cancer, led the clinic’s Nutrition Program, developed educational content on cancer-related topics, and trained students in the safe and effective use of natural therapies in oncology. Since completing my residency, I’ve continued my passion for teaching as a Clinic Supervisor and Instructor at CCNM, where I contribute to courses such as acupuncture, hydrotherapy, integrative oncology, health psychology, and patient-centered care.

In my practice, I am humbled and motivated by the resilience of patients navigating cancer. My approach focuses on educating patients about their health, the science behind naturopathic therapies, and how these treatments can complement conventional care. I am dedicated to advancing my knowledge in integrative oncology and collaborating in settings that prioritize safety, efficacy, and patient-centered outcomes. My goal is to optimize quality of life and improve outcomes for patients at every stage of their cancer journey.

Beyond cancer care, I enjoy working with patients across a variety of health concerns, including menopausal support, digestive health, osteoarthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular health, and mental well-being.

Outside the clinic, you’ll often find me biking through Toronto, hiking nearby trails, playing soccer, or smothering my dog with love.

I am a licensed naturopathic doctor in Ontario and a proud member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
