Dr. Jeff Zeidenberg, Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Jeff Zeidenberg, Naturopathic Doctor, MACP

I have always been passionate about health care and empowering individuals, to make positive lifestyle changes. I believe strongly in the mind-body connection, and apply a holistic approach when assisting patients, to achieve their own, individualized health goals.
I am strongly dedicated to effectively treating my patients and providing them with relevant naturopathic resources and any desired knowledge about their conditions. I work hard to determine the underlying, root cause of a patient’s health concern and hope to inspire them to take a more proactive approach, in order to maintain optimal health and prevent further issues.
At Insight my goal is to provide empathy, to educate/inform patients about effective coping techniques, and to motivate positive changes in behaviour and mindset. I have worked with many individuals, suffering with poor digestive/GUT health, hormone imbalances and endocrine issues such as diabetes and thyroid dysfunction.
My area of focus is working with individuals struggling with mental health issues. I provide naturopathic support and holistic counselling for many different mental health conditions and/or common psychological struggles, including low self-worth, perfectionism, grief, loss, guilt, shame, anger, emotional dysregulation, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and relationship issues.
I have received speciality training in holistic counselling, mindfulness and advanced skill training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for anxiety disorders. I work hard to provide each patient with a treatment plan that incorporates self-care and may involve learning new skills to improve coping and management of difficult or unpleasant thoughts, emotions or current situations.
I obtained my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2013 and have been in private practice since.  I am a member of both the Canadian and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND and OAND) and am registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).
I have recently received my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and am currently awaiting registration, with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Naturopathic treatment plans may include such modalities as;
Botanical medicine
Nutritional supplements
Diet/lifestyle management
Counselling
Lab work
Patients can expect a compassionate treatment approach and plan, that parallels their personal goals and values. They can also expect to be informed and educated on how to move forward, in a more enlightened and confident manner. I intend to inspire others to experience added feelings of capability and control, when facing any obstacle.
People often suffer in silence, for a variety of reasons. It is of the utmost importance to me that I provide a safe and warm environment where one feels comfortable discussing their concerns with no fear of judgement or evaluation. My mission is to continue to encourage individuals to be more self-aware, face their challenge with less avoidance and to embrace their own mental health.
