Specialized Testing & Blood Work

Did you know that Naturopaths can order blood work?

Are you struggling to get annual blood work done, due to the shortage of family doctors? We can help with that.

Our Naturopaths can order (non-ohip covered) blood tests based on your particular health needs and/or requests. For existing patients, these can be discussed in a follow up appointment with your naturopath.

However, for new patients, Dr. Sarah Tayebi is now offering Acute Health Assessments. In this 45 minute consultation, Dr. Tayebi reviews your health history and primary health concerns, and performs a brief physical examination. Upon determining the best tests to run for you, she then provides you with a blood work requisition, and a comprehensive blood work report, once results are received. **

If you are a new patient looking to see another Naturopath for specialized testing as well as additional naturopathic guidance, an initial consultation is required.

** The cost of blood work is not included in the price of the Acute Health Assessment**

BLOODWORK

Assesses the cellular components of the blood, including red and white blood cells and platelets, to diagnose and monitor various blood-related disorders.

Metabolic Panel

Measures various markers related to glucose, insulin, and lipid metabolism to evaluate overall metabolic health and identify potential issues like diabetes or metabolic syndrome.

Specialized Testing

Our team of Naturopaths has extensive experience in specialised testing and interpretation of these test results. Some of the most commonly used tests that we can offer include:

Comprehensive Stool Analysis / Parasitology
Used to assess digestive health, identify gastrointestinal issues, and evaluate the composition of the gut microbiome through the analysis of stool samples.

The parasitology addition looks for various components, including bacteria, fungi, parasites, and the gut microbiome composition, helping to identify gastrointestinal infections, imbalances, and digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

DUTCH Test
Used to assess hormonal imbalances and their metabolites through a comprehensive urine analysis, aiding in the diagnosis and management of various health conditions.
