Dr. Jill Shainhouse, NDFounder | Clinic Director
Insight Naturopathic Clinic was founded by Dr. Jill Shainhouse, ND, who established our clinic’s rigorous, evidence-informed approach to integrative medicine. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Shainhouse dedicates her practice to adjunctive cancer care. She has completed the training and passed the examinations pertaining to the Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology designation, and is the co-founder of the Integrative Cancer Care Program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Today, she provides clinic oversight and mentorship, ensuring every practitioner at Insight Naturopathic meets the highest standards of patient care. |

Dr. Fontes has completed the training and passed the examinations pertaining to the Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology designation, and brings high-level expertise to the clinic as a former Chair of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). He is dedicated to improving the quality of life for adult and pediatric cancer patients through integrative care. |

She maintains a strong commitment to academic advancement as a Clinic Supervisor and Instructor at CCNM, teaching integrative oncology, acupuncture, and hydrotherapy. As an active member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), Dr. Kexel is dedicated to educating patients on evidence-informed natural therapies that safely complement conventional care to optimize quality of life. |

Originally graduating with a degree in engineering from the University of Toronto, Shawn applies this systemic problem-solving mindset to human anatomy, utilizing osteopathic principles to help patients manage pain and unlock their body’s innate healing potential. He completed his comprehensive five-year training at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, earning the prestigious A.T. Still Award for his clinical research on osteopathic palpation and cognitive science. As an active member of the Ontario Association of Osteopaths, Shawn provides personalized adult and pediatric osteopathy, focusing on individualized manual treatments that address the root structural causes of discomfort to help patients regain a pain-free quality of life. |
